ASSOCIATION
the power of all of us
Serving the log hauling and
harvesting community since 1967
About Us
Chartered in 1967, the North West Loggers Association has evolved from a rate negotiating arm of the contracting community to a diversified group involved in many facets of the forest industry. Along with the traditional contractors, log haulers and associated industries, the NWLA has welcomed licensees, small sawmillers, log brokers and silviculture companies as members, including many First Nation Band Corporations now becoming involved in the forest industry. This diversity has enabled the North West Loggers Association to raise it's profile as it no longer perceived as a single issue entity.
As always, the issues tackled by the North West Loggers Association are membership driven and along with the co-operation of the other three Provincial Associations (Central Interior Logging Association, Interior Logging Association and the Truck Loggers Association) results in a strong united voice when talking to Regulatory Bodies, Government Officials and Politicians.
The Association is run by a manager who reports to the Board of Directors. The North West Loggers Association manager is Bill Sauer, who has been in the position since 1991. The Board of Directors for 2010-11 are:
President - Trevor Jobb
Vice-President - Ken Houlden
Directors - Joe Bevan, Jim Checkley, Randy Heaman, Anthony Kelly, James McKay, John Nester and Justin Spearing
